Everyday Car Auctions (ECA) is a UK-based digital car auction platform operating on a timed reverse auction model — vehicle prices drop at set intervals while buyers place competing bids, with the highest qualifying bid winning the sale. Sellers can list via auction or receive instant offers. ECA also advertises vehicles on AutoTrader and MOTORS and is a proud match day sponsor of Stevenage Borough FC.
The Challenge
Building a real-time auction engine is one of the harder engineering problems in marketplace software — prices must drop on precise schedules, bids must be validated and ranked instantly, and the system must handle concurrent bidders without race conditions or lost bids. On top of that, real money moves through the platform: winning bidders pay a deposit, sellers get paid out net of platform fees, and every payment event has to stay in sync with the auction outcome — even when two bids land in the same millisecond.
What I Did
- →Designing and building the core timed reverse auction engine — price drop scheduling, bid validation, and winner determination logic
- →Building seller-facing workflows for both auction listings and instant offer requests with condition verification steps
- →Developing buyer-facing bidding flows with real-time price updates and instant buy functionality
- →Architecting the backend API to support concurrent bidding without race conditions using database-level locking strategies
- →Building the payment flow — buyer deposit capture on winning bid, seller payout calculation net of the ~8–9% + VAT platform fee, and refund handling when a sale falls through
- →Implementing idempotent, webhook-driven payment reconciliation so payment status always matches the auction outcome, even under concurrent bidding
- →Setting up vehicle listing syndication to external platforms (AutoTrader, MOTORS)
- →Building admin tooling for auction management, seller fee calculation (~8–9% + VAT), payout oversight, and bid oversight
The Impact
Currently in active development — building the complete auction platform from the ground up, including a payment and payout flow that reconciles correctly under concurrent bidding, delivering a production-ready system for the UK used car market.

Companies use Jaspi to find and hire talent in 48 hours at a flat $200/job rate, eliminating the need for traditional recruiters.
The Challenge
Jaspi's backend needed to handle AI screening pipelines, async chat and video interviews, real-time candidate scoring, and seamless integrations — all reliably at production scale. The system had to be production-ready from day one with no room for downtime during live hiring workflows.

It provides a unified calendar, shareable booking links, automated appointment reminders, cash register integration, and a mobile app — all at no cost with no binding contracts. Lifetime free access with revenue coming only from optional payment terminal services.
The Challenge
Bookt's production system was experiencing reliability issues and performance bottlenecks that directly impacted salon owners' daily operations. The platform needed stabilization, faster response times, and a robust real-time booking infrastructure — all while maintaining the 'simple and free' promise to its users.
What I Did

Managing condo communities involves multiple stakeholders — unit owners, residents, boards, vendors, and managers — each with different access needs and workflows.
